What does your desk tell us about you?

You've recently had a birthday- the card.
You have a sense of humour- the style of the card.
You're trusting of the people round you - watch and cash in the tidy tray behind the monitor.
You like to give a good impression- the little box of business cards, if that's what they are.
You're organised- desk top icons, neat collection of other business card.
You like dressing up in leather and meeting other like minded chaps to consume non-alcoholic drinks

lets see some of your's then.

my tells...as i see them- and some of you picked up on a few more...along with a few odd angles.

-I like motorbikes...I dont ride a fast bike (I promised myself I never would) so I just look at one of the best in the world instead.
-I like to walk about when I use the phone (hence the headset)
-I meet a lot of people (hence the card stack)
-I drink a lot of tea...and like full fat coke
-I like bicycles ..(hence the bell on my monitor arm)
-I have just had a birthday
-I dont wear a watch
-I dont like to carry change
-I wear Paul smith in the office (not at home)
-I am drinking Polish Vodka (in fact I recently helped some poles and the vodka is a thankyou)

also
yes I do work in a trusting office
yes I do (or rather did) used to play COD4 across the LAN after work with chaps in the office...happy days.

so who's next?

this picture tells me that you are not in the possession of a square...or at least that the bloke that built that room wasn't:whistle:

-you work in a traditional medium, but use modern tools (laser level, makita rechargables) so I expect you are under 60 (mid 40's?)
-the carpenters mallet and tenon saw suggests you are a chippy by trade but the wedge suggests you have erected the studs yourself, so are somewhat multi disciplined.
-the loose light fitting suggests you are not a spark (or you would have dealt with that)
-in general you seem to specialist in period refurbishment/builders works.
-the position of the pen suggests you are right handed

My desk tells me that I am an untidy bastard.
A tidy desk is the sign of an empty mind.

- The out of whack kingpost probably was square when put together 300 years ago but time has taken its toll!
-you work in a traditional medium, but use modern tools (laser level, makita rechargables) so I expect you are under 60 (mid 40's?)
- yup under 60 but a bit older than mid 40's. If I can buy modern tools to make the work easier then I do
-the carpenters mallet and tenon saw suggests you are a chippy by trade but the wedge suggests you have erected the studs yourself, so are somewhat multi disciplined.
- made redundant from IT in my early 50's I have been converting a barn using the carpentry skills I already had.

-the loose light fitting suggests you are not a spark (or you would have dealt with that)
I do all the work EXCEPT the electrics,
-in general you seem to specialist in period refurbishment/builders works.
including plastering, stone masonry and use of oak to reproduce period features. , although I also use an adze to match new timber work to the old timbers which were all shaped by adze. I enjoy working on old buildings more than I did IT!
-the position of the pen suggests you are right handed
I am right handed, but where's the pen!

10/10:bravo:
