I was horrified today to find my Massi steel road bike weighs 25lbs !
I stripped everything off that I could too like my saddle wedge and water bottle.
its a Massi steel frame with alu forks and RS20 wheelset 105 9 speed components .
Where on earth could all that weight be ?

Just short of 20 lbs pour moi - Ridley Aluminium (carbon forks), Zonda's and Campag Mirage.

The 5 lbs will be in the frame (4lbs) and 1 lb wheels at a guess.

My good bike - Cervelo RS weighs 17lb and my spanking new winter / commuter Kinesis TK weighs in at 20lb. Both weighed with pump, bottle cages and pedals. I am quite happy with those weights. My old Ribble winter bike was around 23lb.

The cannondale weighes in at under 7kg with American classic wheels and a carbon saddle, although I normally use a Brooks Saddle and Hope Pro3 wheels which takes it up to about 8kg.

The steel fixie weighes in at about 11kg. There's no gears and there's nothing particularly heavy on there. 100g extra here, 200g extra there just all adds up!

Me "best" bike comes in at about 20lbs with pedals, cages, pump and spare tube and levers under the seat.

The heavier 'bent is about 4.83 tonnes.

Mine is seventeen and a half pounds, although I usually carry a lock, toolkit, and, at night, four lights. When I cycle with the Babe I also carry phones and make-up. This can add quite a bit.

Her bike is much lighter. S'not fair.
