what does your road bike weigh ?

Just out of curiosity, how do you lot weigh your bikes? on the kitchen scales? or do you have some fishing scales you picked up somewhere?

I do have a pic actually, with it on the scales. With pedals and bottle cage the scales say 18.98lb. Unfortunately I don't have access to it at the mo because the laptop I'm working on refuses to connect to our home drive.

I got a set of bike scales from Wiggle - funny enough they had a picture of a fish on them though

Ribble 653 Ultegra - steel - 9kg's (16 or so years old)

Herety SLX Dura Ace 7400 - steel - 9kg's (18 years old)

New Fixie - Alloy and Carbon - 8kg's

My fixed must be about that then, maybe a little lighter because i dont have have mudguards and stuff on it.
Not bad weight.

Makes no difference to me, I have a 1.5 stone bag of beer permanently strapped round my waist so mincing around over a few punds/ounces on the road bike is pointless till I can wittle that down!
