Is it that they don't do kebabs?

Ive nothing against Mickey D's per se, I just don't like the food that much is all. I do partake occasionally of one of those eggy sausage muffs, but that's about as far as I go. I do. However, love the coffee, and km an inveterate coffee token collector.

Another point, for all those that think that fish and chips is some kind of folksy food nirvana, let me prick that bubble. Unless you live by the coast and you can ascertain that the chippy buys his fish every day fresh from the harbour, you can be pretty sure it's frozen or come via some industrialised distribution chain. Fresh fish is something of a misnomer unless you've taken it from the fisherman whilst it's twitching. Secondly, most of the UK's F+C batter is not made from some secret family recipe it's blended in 2 big factories in the UK and sold under a variety of brands .... as does the Curry Sauce. The Tartare Sauce, Ketchup, salt, Pepper and Vinegar are all industrial products.

Agree with this. I briefly worked in a small fish factory type place in Eyemouth. The haddock came from Russian factory ships and it arrived as 2'x1' frozen blocks which we kept in our freezer. Every night I would take one block of frozen fish and put it in a barrel of water to defrost, laying them out on trays in the morning then delivering them to the chip shops who got one delivery a week.

The breakfasts are OK, but if I eat any of the burger combinations then I have to find a loo within half an hour, its an odd effect and could be of benefit to those suffering from being "bunged up".

I thought mcD's had taken great strides over many years to make their food healthier.
Introducing healthy options, and reducing fat in their main sellers.
As for the surroundings,my two local McD's are extremely pleasant places to be.
Well decor'ed and always clean inside and out.
The Staff are extremely pleasant too, with no hint of falseness about it.
And there does seem a genuine good vibe between them all.
So no,certainly these days ,there is nothing wrong with McD's.
You don't have to eat a burger, their menu is a lot more extensive than that,as you know.
I tried a Bean Burger once,it was excellent.

PAGING ALL SNOBS!! :giggle:

I got here as fast as I could.

I would have been here quicker but I first had to google what McDonalds was.
