What film did you watch last night?

[ColinJ]

Jerry and Marge Go Large. 8/10

Based on a true story of a smalltown guy who worked out how to legally win millions of dollars on the lottery using mathematics.

I watched it a couple of months ago.

Happy, feelgood movie with lots of laughs. Bryan Cranston and Annette Benning star.

Yes, I enjoyed it too.

I Googled for the facts afterwards and it is pretty much a true story. Some composite characters and embellishments for dramatic effect, but the couple did indeed beat the lottery.

Assault on Precinct 13 - 10/10

There isn't a John Carpenter film I don't like, but this is my favourite. It's so good it even got remade (badly).

It's worth watching for the soundtrack alone.

Assault on Precinct 13

Which took place in Precinct 9!

Jaws.
A movie I don't think will ever get bored of watching.

A fair point. Never really understood that.

Apparently the film distributor wanted a more ominous, gloomy title so changed it to 13 which was actually the division number within precinct 9.

There is only one way to find out if that happens. “Pity the man whose pleasure depends upon the permission of another”.

Like!

I'd add on "or the approval".

I suspect it should be credited to Madonna :-)
