What fuel?

I have just recently bought this

I'm wondering what fuel is the best and quickest, i will be using it for my 2 week Grand traverse of the Alps, also can i carry it on the aeroplane with me or can i buy it while i'm over there

Looks like a copy of a Mini-Trangia, you can only use 'Meths' or as its known in France 'alcool a bruler'. I don't use a meths stove but from what I've read on forum you can get it at most supermarkets in France etc.
You won't be able to take the fuel on a plane with you.

Meths it is, indeed, for this imitation Mini Trangia. Don't forget to bring a good windscreen, and get a suitable fuel bottle (not aluminium) such as the one by Trangia.

As already stated, alchohol abrule is readily available. It also burns a lot cleaner and tends not to soot up the pans. Available in nearly all supermarkets. 1 litre costs 2 euro.

If you add a small amount of water to the fuel diluting it to about 1 part water to 20 of meths, it burns cleaner and wll not soot up the base of your pans so much. Doesn't affect the temperature, just burns cleaner.
