What gear do you leave the bike in when you get home?

I try to remember to leave both rings in the middle when I have had work done at a bike shop, they leave it stretched from the highest at the back to the lowest at the front.

Whatever gear it happens to be in, probably big ring and middle cog as my road is pretty flat. Never thought about it to be honest

I like to "ease springs" ie let the tension out of the system .Trouble is this puts you in a cross chain position for setting off again.

Smallest front and second smallest rear. The smallest rear isn't an option because if/when I roll the trikes backwards they climb out of the smallest rear position, but not the second smallest.

The one I've stopped in. Usually small ring and middle-ish cog since it's an uphill finish to my house.

After a wash, it'll be big ring and small cog as the wheel will have been off.

Whenever I park my bike, I always make sure it's in the big ring and middle of the cassette, so the derailleur cage is vertical (draw an imaginary line through the centre of the jockey wheels).

I also ensure both tyre valves are at 6 o'clock and the cranks parallel to the ground, right crank pointing forward.

It's important to get these things right in case any passer-by stops to look at my bike - can't have them thinking I'm an amateur.
