I'll have several bikes to fettle tomorrow.

It'll be a good deed to the bikes, right!

I took my younger brother out for his first 'proper' bike ride in 25 years this morning. 21.5 miles - I was fine, hardly felt it, and am raring to go now for another 20 - he isn't......

But I took it steady with him, an hour and a half comfortable ride for me took us 2 hours. Hopefully he will keep up the good start.
Anyone remember this post?

Little bro went on to buy a Trek Madone, and has done 2500 miles this year. I have had a lean summer, with little riding.....I went out for a hilly 25 miles with him on Saturday and he showed me a clean pair of heals on the Nunburnholme climb....I was fooked

He's just ordered a Planet X RT58.......

I picked up some litter and put it in the bin. I actually do this most mornings, when I'm out early, walking the dog. There's usually nobody about, and I quite like it that my good deeds are 'anonymous'.
i do exactly the same...every morning i walk the dog.
AND ive accidentally picked up other dogs poo ...in the dark mornings, i can see roughly where he's pooped, (he's off the lead mostly, no-one around)..wander over with a torch, find a log, pick it up...ooer, its cold. Now ive got to find his .
Some long term residents who know me know i pick the litter, i do it anonymously, but you do get seen.
