Unusually, Morrison's currently have some bargains, e.g. Tilda basmati (one of the best!) 5Kg for £12

They also have good deals on Shahzada, 10 Kg for £12.50, among others.
A few years ago I bought a load of kilo bags of basmati on clearance in Tesco at 69p each. I cleaned them out at the time, but I'm coming to the end of that, so recently bought a 10kg sack for £12. Can't remember the brands off the top of my head.

If I bought that rice cooker I'd end up making rice dominated recipes, by chucking different stuff in. Having said that, that's an idea to consider. Rice with chicken, rice peas and beef, rice and er whatever.
