I gave up trying to adjust my front brake caliper, which after I renewed the pads squeaked. This morning I dropped into my LBS who diagnosed and fixed a sticky piston. I bought a refill pack of five dynaplug darts and TPU patches. Dynaplug darts have massively increased in price. I got them to fit a pair of new bar end plugs after one went AWOL on yesterdays ride.

The last time I got refills I found it cheaper to order the motor bike ones and cut them to length. 🤞 they work but 🤞🤞 Ive not needed to find out!

Puzzle game procrastinator!
Something was skiffing on my Friday commute around the front wheel. It had been ok in the stand on Thursday night when I fitted the new shifter. So I adjusted the guard and front brake when it was on the deck.

I think I'll need new pads soon but with the better weather 🤞 my summer bike will see the long rides more so I'll get a while longer 🤞🤞
The rim looks pretty worn in that photo - are you sure that it is still safe to ride? I wouldn't want to risk a sudden catastrophic front wheel failure at speed!

Added a pair of the little 3D printed plastic things that improve the function of the "hidden" Di2 buttons on Ultegra.

A bit fiddly as they are tiny and easy to dislodge as you pull the hoods back over. Once properly in place they do make quite a difference so well worth getting. Plus they come in a pack of 4 so a couple of spares.

Been magnet fishing in the canal?

Barn find. Only farmers really know how to look after a bike and so that you heave a little as the hot water hits it.

I have m/c darts as well, but I’m not sure I can cut them square enough to fit inside the sleeve

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Continued a bit of work on the Peugeot PY10 LS Professional that I picked up last weekend and had a look over plus clean.

This evening it's had replacement tyres; the front was ancient and the rear a turbo trainer tyre. The front axle has also been re-greased with new bearings as this hadn't been done for some time.

Short test ride tomorrow.

It wasn't me!
Changed end caps on the former wheel set of the Surly Preamble to fit it in another bike with thru axles and put the Tufo Thundero tyres on. Then I wondered that the rear tyre shows some wobble, because it doesn't sit correctly on the rim. While trying to sort that out I noticed that "someone" put fairly narrow rim tape on the wheel set. And that rim tape (Zefal Cotton) moved sideways. So I changed the rim tape and now the rear tyre sits good enough.
Tomorrow I'll work on the front wheel, too.
