Attached bottle cages and a pump holder onto the new bike.

Hope that the bar tape will darken over time so that it matches the colour of the tyre sidewalls better.

Nice bike!!

After todays ride cleaned the drive (was very grubby) and checked the chain ,was at .25% so will be a chain and cassette change next time around as this is the third chain with this cassette.

Gave it a quick once over and all good for the next few rides :okay:

All I can tell you is; I now can’t feel any movement once I fitted it back in the bike. And if nothing else I’ve hopefully eradicated ‘that’ as a cause (If it still happens). But maybe even removing and re-fitting was enough ? As ever - time will tell I’m sure 👍

Congrats! I think you’ve just invented the wrenching equivalent of ‘have you tried turning it off, then turning it back on again?’ ;-)

Out for a ride on newish bike, saddle felt slightly too low straight away, seems the new shoes have soles that are a bit thicker. Raised it about 4mm and then it felt fine.
Surprising how you can feel such a small change.

No idea how true it is, but a few years back I think I read that evey 1mm saddle height change typically changes the bend in your hips/knee/foot by 1 degree at bottom dead centre and most of us prefer ~30 degrees bend.

I gave the mountain a look over today, on the weekend something was feeling a little rough in the transmision. Turns out the bottom bracket is toast, the bearings feel rough as hell. There's something a little off in the back wheel as well, I suspect it might be freehub related, because the axle bearings feel fine. I don't have the time to dig deeper today.

Also the rear brake pads are worn, so I've popped an order in for the parts to an online retailer and get that all sorted when they arrive.
