Find a nice straight road (slight downhill works best for me)

The Erskine Bridge which is a local motorway suspension bridge (with bike and pedestrian lanes to the side) is a great place to practice, and the view isn't too bad either!

You can't ride one-handed? I guess you don't give hand signals for left/right turning, then....

I must have a dirty mind, that isn't quite what I was thinking of!

I have a Specialized Allez (road bike).

Hands-free takes some practice...
Find a nice straight road (slight downhill works best for me), nice lowish gear so you're not grinding the pedals, nice pace (not too slow, not too fast), staighten your arms, sit upright/slightly leaning back, then let go of the handlebars. Do it for a couple of seconds, then as you get more confident do it for longer.

Yes I'm ok for that, I just meant for a long period of time........my front wheel has a full freespin on it without hands on the handlebars to keep it aligned it turns on its own..... apparently all? most? some? MTB's have this 'peculiarity' depending on who I talk to. I even started a thread to find out more. P.S. My road bike doesn't do this.

By the way.....Spec Allez, nice bike!

Today I launched myself on my sons scooter off the top of the ramp at the local skate park.. Ok it's not the first time i've done it...But the last time was over 20 yrs ago!

I got a round of applause & "Whooo Yeahs" from the group off BMX'ers that had just arrived...and some serious "You Rock" points as one of them goes to my school...Oh yes, my status in the playground will be legendary next week!
