and, come to think of it, taking primary in the outside lane of an urban (ignored) 30mph limit DC so I can turn right at the roundabout to go into the supermarket is many local drivers' definition of bloody-minded cycling.

The definition of aggressive and the interpretation of the definition are two very different things.

Links go both ways but in any event I would only ask that people attempt to stick to the questions in the thread and not try to bring any other issues with them. Or just zip it. BB
Seriously? You start this thread by complaining that posts were removed from a thread about a road death because it had got seriously off topic and a bit nasty, then you complain when people go off topic** in this thread???

**in your opinion. Seeing you wanted to know what was the difference between aggressive and assertive, and people asked for an example, I don't think giving the example that started your questioning is "bring[ing in] any other issue". It's very much on topic.

Edit: Oh, I see you have done a good, old-school dummy spit, and deleted your OP. Okie dokie. I guess I'll draw a line under this

Oh look, OP removed, this thread might be done. Just when I had formed an opinion. Never mind, perhaps next time.

As it was, I have noted that those who complain the most give the least of themselves. Such as choosing no avatar yet defending your right to be seen and heard.
But that's just the view of a silly bunny.

Never mind aggressive, I've got passive aggressive sorted.
