TMN is probably correct although it's not unknown for retailers (even wholesalers and nurseries) to get the labelling wrong. Where exactly does the shoot originate from? Above or below the graft? Or like you say: Are there white roses ALL over the plant? No red ones anywhere?
Unlikely the red rose will have a bouquet. If it is a white/cream/pinkish/yellowish species rose, whether it is a sucker from below the graft, or the whole plant, you will have a good smell. (The plant that is, but I'm sure you smell ok)
