Depends on so many things, but probly beer most of the time. If they've run out of meths, buckie's or thunderbird wine.

I never understand how people like beer, I mean if people actually liked the taste they would have non-alcoholic beer all the time, with breakfast, dinner, tea. But they don’t!
I can have vodka with anything and you can’t really taste it. Winner!

Non-alcoholic beer doesn't taste nice.

Neither does Non-alcoholic beer
Of course, you're allowed to be wrong.

I think you'll find that most people who like beer (normal people) are less than keen on the non-alcoholic stuff.

Real ale for me for which Doombar is not an acceptable substitute. I would rather drink lager if all they have is Doombar. I quite like London Pride and Adnams. If Harvey's Sussex is available I go for that. At my local pub they regularly have Hampshire Rose or Flying Scotsman (only quite often they run out when they only have Doombar ). Actually, I say I like real ale, but if I see a beer labelled as bitter, I will select that. I am not too keen on IPAs or its variants. Porter is usually a risk. Light summer ales are usually inoffensive. The West Berkshire Brewery is local. Good Old Boy tends to give me wind, but I will drink it out of solidarity. I think I prefer their Half Circle though.

Theakston's Old Peculiar, Pendle Witch, Bombay Gin, Weston's Vintage Cider. Add a kebab with lots of chilli sauce, preferably not dribbled down the shirt, to finish off the session nicely.
We have a pub in Atherton Metropolis called Pendle Witch (a great pub) which serves Pendle Witch as a staple as well as many guest beers like Old Peculier, Blonde Witch et al.

Once visited a village pub after playing Rugby for RAF Wittering with a Sherpa van full of lads.

Bar lady brought us (for free) a circular tray with cut outs for around 8 filled 1/3 gil glasses of guest beers containing amongst other things Baz's Bonce Blower, the darkest, thickest & most potent brew I ever tried.

She then told a story about a regular who regularly drank 15 pints a night, a real big bloke who one night had 6 or 7 Baz's Bonce Blowers & promptly fell asleep on the pool table.
