No, he was well before Cloughie and much less well known - other than maybe in Middlesbrough about 100 years ago. I can send you a link if you're interested in football history?

Not George Camsell? Although I think he had more than 2 England caps 18 goals in 9 caps I think
Yes I am a Boro fan!

I’ve mentioned it in here before, but in the 1970s we lived right next door to Jimmy Conway.
He was a Ireland international playing for Fulham. He played in the 1975 FA cup, then moved away to play for Man City.
He lived in a 3 bed semi in New Malden, in a very ordinary suburban road next door to my parents who were a nurse and policeman.
Nowadays he would be on a multi million salary in a mansion in Cobham. Amazing how the fortunes of professional footballers have change.

My wife and I had dinner in a restaurant in Liverpool and Samantha Bond was at the next table. She was on her own. Sadly, I wasn't.

Aye, that was it.

I also remember him as a nasty German major in Colditz.

My first job after leaving uni was at an engineering company in Dunstable. The owner/Managing Director was George Weisz, father of actress Rachael Weisz. I don't remember her turning up at the Christmas 'do' (she'd have been about 9) but George did chat up my girlfriend (now wife). Dirty bugger!
