Not that long - it's made about 5 minutes before hand and I do like to drink it hot.

Post ride only?
What about mid snd pre-ride tipple....

Much depends when the ride happens and the kind of ride.
For example on the Friday's tours, it's not uncommon to stop mid-morning for a coffee and Calvados/Pastis/Kriek depending on location.
A proper lunch should always have an alcoholic component. Night rides often see the hip-flasks come-out. If you do a FNRttC then beer with brekkie in the morning is on the cars...for some that's the end of the ride, for others it's the start of the Saturday morning run home.
One should always be prepared to be flexible....
