What lap top ?

It runs on my rather crap video card, so if you use that as a starter for 10 and get a better one, as mine is a bit jerky but fine, then it'll be good

Well it's a dual core and Windows 7, 4Gb of memory, so that's fine for Zwift. It has integrated graphics which is probably where it fails and as far as I can tell it has one PCI-E slot for a graphics card but you'd need to confirm that by opening it up and looking at the free slots format.

You'd also need to check the rating of the power supply and make sure you have a spare power cable and then basically buy a graphics card to go in the free slot which will run on the power supply you have, run OpenGl 3.1 and the highest version of Direct X you can get and have a core graphics speed of at least 650Mhz and 1Gb of memory. That's all best guess from what I could Google.

Ahhhh ok its an intel G41 chipset .
The only other imedia thingy is imedia d2525uk .
I have looked inside and there is a spare port for something . I added memory already so its not for that . I think its for a graphics thingy and there is also a smaller port above it that looks like it could be for power for that port .

So you could go with quite a few graphics cards, but now need to check the power supply wattage. Nvidia use less power for the performance.

That's pretty impressive as that's not really a gaming card at all. That gives you lots of options under £50, but....

GTX 460 1GB. GTX are quicker. GT are generally mobile chips.

The numbering goes as:- Series 4XX, 5XX, 6XX, 7XX, 9XX, then the model numbers are 30,40,50,60,70,80. 4XX are older. the higher the second set of digits the quicker the card in the range, but also remember the lower cards will use less power. That somewhat changes as the cards get more advanced as the 9xx cards use much less power than the 7xx cards, but are vastly quicker.

Have a look around - just check the PSU wattage - it will be on the back of the unit. You'll want as a minimum 350w, ideal 500w.

PS you'll also need to disable on-board VGA in bios, but you can do that after fitting the card and swapping the monitor cable over.

Fossy's is much better but even this would do it and I think it doesn't need a separate power supply in case your power supply is an issue.

Get an Nvidia GTX750Ti from ebay, around £70. Has low power requirements and no extra connectors needed. Don't worry about how much on-board memory it has. This is what I just did, works really smoothly

Cheaper and will do the job. And it will be quiet. In our old PC I have a last of line Radeon HD 4650 AGP socket, which has made a good difference.

There is a lot of choice. PS ATI numbering works similar to Nvidia. The one I picked was the first one I saw, but you get the idea.
