What motivated you to commute this morning?

I hate driving to work, I love cycling to work, no motivation needed. The only motivation I need is for the distance I do, did just over 24 miles this morning chasing time for the Giro Challenge, need to do just over 6 hours now

Is that like racing on a BSO to the job centre?

I just have to remind myself how crap and horrid not doing the commute by train bike is.

Sunshine, clearish skies & bitterly cold - I was resentful that I'd need to drive to work today to drop my daughter off at childminders. I often take her on the back of my other bike but today it would be too cold to expose her to that. She's getting over a cold..

As it happened the childminder's own kids are ill, so my wife didn't go to work today and I cycled 8.5 miles in cheered me up no end.

My commute can be short and after a 6hour drive last night and knowing I had a fixie p'ture to fix I chose that option (2.6 miles); the weather never came into it.

Don't need to be motivated, i am on auto pilot first thing in the mornings, get up wash, breakfast ,biking gear on and i am off, am still thinking about changing the gearing on the fixie that wind is killing me.
