At a vide grenier yesterday and saw this exceptional machine. What inspired its construction is a mystery to me
No l would have done but l couldn't stop laughing long enough to put my euros on the tableWow, did you buy it?
Is that slightly different to to op ? (Not just as its yellow!) In as much as it has two frames and cranks compared to a very diffult pedal set up on the original ?View attachment 365357
In fact here's his version, with the proprietor and srw about to take their lives in their hands.
Takes rural France a bit longer to catch up l guessIt's a style of bike that was tested and rejected along with many others about 100 years ago.
Yes and the one in my post has only one bottle cage .....if that doesn't spell trouble ?Is that slightly different to to op ? (Not just as its yellow!) In as much as it has two frames and cranks compared to a very diffult pedal set up on the original ?
I almost wish l had bought it now,Yes, that's why it's the Gekke Fietsen version. There are many versions, still existing, unrejected.
I do like the cranks on woodbutcher's version .
I didn't hang around long enough to see if anyone bought it....its a bit sad really because the vendor only had the bike and the children's car for sale .You mean someone else did? Won't it reappear at the next one?
To be fair, the proprietor was completely relaxed. He had control of the steering. I was utterly terrified, especially when he turned. @rvw is on the right of the photo looking forward to me finding out what being a tandem stoker is like....View attachment 365357
