Who mentioned anything about class A drugs?
I was pointing out that, if you spend your whole life dedicated to achieving something......and then actually achieve it, life can become very aimless and boring.

The problem with shoving brown coloured class A or B drugs up your jacksy is that there are lumps or other brown coloured material up there already and telling the difference when stoned is not, I am told, always terribly easy.

Exactly why best to leave that achievement alone or to the pro’s ^_^

For me it's just the (perhaps tired) cliche of LEJOG, I've wanted to do it all my life, I'm now nearly 50, started planning over a year ago and then we know what happened in 2020, but hopefully I'll get to do it this year, finally.

Cyclist magazine have been running an article each month on LEJOG. A scenic route taking in some of the best cities and Uk’s best climbs over 14 days. His family following in a motorhome as it was done amidst lockdowns with no hotels.

My son did a 1400 miles trip with a trailer with his two dogs (labrador and boxer) for 40 days. Wild camping most of the time, mountains half of the journey. I was jealous! In a positive way of course. He did that when switching from one job to another so no much financial pressure.

Since then I can't wait to reach retirement and financial freedom and just go around the world.

Just my dream!

From your recent posts, I assume you are another Toots and the Maytals fan? Seeing them live was one of my life ambitions which now sadly is not going to be achieved.
Yep I got into them in 85 (I had heard them before) when I split up with my fiance and moved to a flat in town, my 'local' became a pub called 'The Mag' (The Magazine Hotel) and the landlord (Mark Kershaw*) was a massive Robert Cray and Toots fan and of a Friday/Saturday night he'd come down to the front bar (having worked all day and then gone upstairs for his dinner and time with his wife and child) about 10 ish and take over the stereo (They even had a turntable behind the bar not to mention a big pair of KEF speakers on one end and Bose 301s the other)
He'd normally start with something like 'Bad Influence'

Then run through a few songs before 'Pressure Drop' was played

The Pub used to erupt, everybody was dancing it was like the pub 'anthem' :becool:

* I still see Mark every now and then (he moved away as his son started to get a bit older as he didn't want him growing up in a city centre pub)

Still there's always the 'Glastonbury' gig to watch
