. Narrow high pressure tyres will give a harsh ride over city streets or any less than perfect surfac , handling will be twitchy and no granny gear to help you up hills, but if that appeals go for it.

I’m not totally new to biking, just road bikes.
Always ridden mountain bikes and I did purchase a used Specialized Allez about five years ago which has stood unused in the garage.
During my time away from work due to the Covid situation I decided to get out on it and it’s become my favourite form of exercise.
I had thought I’d purchase a new Giant Propel Advanced 1 disc which is the same money as the used Specialized, my head tells me the Giant will be the better buy being newer, but I keep looking at the Specialized.
