What stops you reading a cycling article?

For me it's when I come across patronising phrases like 'people of colour'.

cripes, what are you reading? Back issues of Cycling in Mississippi from 1950?

I read a lot of journals on Crazy Guy on A Bike. Anything with a witty/amusing title that does not actually mention where the ride is going, immediately switches me off. As does being on a recumbent

I wish I was, it's now used fairly frequently in US cycle blogs.

'People of colour' is the recognised racially-sensitive way of referring to...well, people of colour.

Not to be confused with 'coloured people', which is racist.
