There is nothing Yorkshire folk enjoy more than pointing out to foreigners how they call their bread something different to the next town down the road. I went into a shop in Burnley which was selling 'oven bottoms' and I didn't know what they were!
It seems like there are different words for those things in many parts of the country - rolls, batches, baps, teacakes, oven bottoms, er - huffers ...
