You can fit several bikes in a 22 x 14 ft garage lol.

So the new bike needs tyres, bar tape, and some new skewers, and might be a different saddle ( due to someone painting the one on it ) plus hours and hours of cleaning.
I rubbed the mucky bits and its clean underneath and the patina is perfect the forks are silky smooth so its all fantastic.

Nowhere yet mate as the rear tyre has got a big chunk out of the sidewall and the fronts not a lot better.

Still worth a gentle trip around the block , you can bet @DCLane would have done so

Before you spend lots on skewers (old ones are good and better quality, but more expensive, than modern, imo )try a brass brush and a polish with autosolve. If that doesn't work to your satisfaction then try a soak in oxalic acid acid solution (~5% w/v - no need to be accurate, more dilute = longer soak) followed by a brass brush.
