It doesn’t mean they are worth listening too.

Agreed, but then you couldn't get any more subjective if you tried.

At least, as opposed to some years, they have had a decent range of artists who have had material out in the current year.

I gather Ronan and friends were trotting out some tunes on BBC1, but I couldn't think of anything worse personally, and yes I was unfortunate enough to see a clip, which was more than enough.
Others will of course have loved that, and watched it in total bliss 😵‍💫

There’s a remake of Inspector Lynley on this evening. I’ll give it a try. I enjoyed the old one.

Having previously read the books I was utterly astonished by Brett's portrayal of Holmes. He wasn't merely very good but seemed to be a living and breathing Holmes conjured into life off the page.

I seem to recall two different actors as Watson, both excellent and a far cry from the buffoonish Watson of the old Rathbone films, which I'm not a fan of

Brett certainly was indeed!!
Edward Hardwicke (the 2nd Watson) was a member of the National Theatre, & I beleive also acted with the Royal Shakespeare Company

I finished watching series 1 of Pluribus last night. Most enjoyable. It gets the balance right imho, some good laughs to be had amongst the wackiness and cool questions. You can even forgive some minor plot holes (sign of a good show imo)

but

season 2 may not be released until 2028!! I can't wait that long to see if Carol saves the world!

Planning to give this a go, would be interested to hear what you make of it.

I think I saw a totally wonderful Jensen Interceptor in a clip, dearly hoping it's a main character and not a fleeting appearance.

I enjoyed it, and yes, the Jensen has a starring role.

We watched the first one and a half Lynleys on iPlaye. Very watchable And I suspect we will continue watching it tonigh.

personally I prefer the Jensen Interceptor to the Bristol, based purely on looks.

Couldn't agree more - some 20+ years ago I had a big plan to buy one, and bought a ton of books to research them (Not so much on the web back then) - they might be worth something now, as some were quite rare, and some are quite still sealed.

I digress, I think they are an incredibly beautiful, handsome if flawed vehicle, prices will be absurd now I am sure.
When I was looking, they were starting at about 5k.

When I was young someone up the street had one. Maybe that colour, maybe a lighter shade.
I have lusted after one ever since. What's not to like? Performance (for it's time) good looks and hatchback practicality.

Oh Gosh. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it's very annoying that a 2nd season will take so long to come out. I love Rhea Seahorn (if that's spelled correctly), and the character is extremely good. It does make a change when a sort of post-apocolypse story is not based on zombie viruses. The LAst Man on Earth is also a good watch, not as good and a quirky comedy that's probably marmite, but I really liked it. Sadly that was axed on a season 3 cliffhanger years ago

I stumbled across 2 Doors Down the other week. We've found it great for some light laughs and I'd never watched it before, so we are binging that until finished. Some hilarious lines by Rab C Nesbit's wife, like when her ceiling fell in, she's sat there covered in dust and phones for help to say "it's like effing Pompei in here" For some reason I find the scottish accent really funny on it's own (respectfully)

I'm off work with a virus and have just found Lost on ITVX, it's been years since I watched it all so looking forward to bingeing though it.

Have forgotten most of the plot, but I do remember it mostly gets resolved with a few obvious plot holes and unanswered questions. The flashbacks and eventually side stories set off island are an interesting plot device that I don't think has been done as well since.

I also remember and am looking forward to the sheer number of actors that pop up in this, that have since become big favourites of mine.
