Just finished watching The Cage, on BBC . Genuinely thought it was one of the best things on TV for a while. really griping

"Obituary" - a dark comedy. Surprised it's on ITV, it's the sort of thing CH4 and BBC2 normally get.

I wish I could think what older show it reminds me of ... the tone is kinda Dexter-meets-Fleabag, but with Irish accents, if that helps!

That last episode seemed very messy. Almost like they thought they had another 2 eps to wrap it up but ran out of budget. Spoilt it for me

BBC series currently on about Gareth Southgate and England.

Really good. Joseph Fiennes superb as Southgate.

Fiennes absolutely nails Southgate's voice, mannerisms etc. brilliant performance

New series of Brokenwood on U&alibi
Just watched the first 2 which was a 2 parter. I do love tongue in cheek slightly corny detective stuff.

Always on the lookout for something that doesn't involve violence or supernatural and isn't a 2 hour film bloated into an 8 hour mini series, I really enjoyed the 2nd series of the four seasons on Netflix, possibly more than the 1st. Even had some timely Giro d'Italia scenery thrown in towards the end.

Probably Fey's best work since the 2011 Muppets movie; I've always wanted to find her work funnier than it actually is.

Got to the end of Legends. An enjoyable little series. Fun to watch and a good story.
Felt a bit rushed at times - could have probably been stretched out to 8 or 10 episodes.
The final episode was possibly the weakest - the bits in Germany and the boat scene didn't work that well.
Some great music throughout - highlight was the use of the Cure's A Forest in episode 5.

Its just starting to get a bit spicy. To cut a ling story short, when people cross Rip Wheeler he tends to respond by slapping them about, burning down their houses, or occasionally killing them. Well, suffice to say someone has crossed him big style and hes jolly upset about it.

Spider Noir on Prime. Nicholas Cage playing low key (for him) aging Spiderman set in the 30s. Only 3 episodes in but it is well done.
The USP is that you have a choice of comic book ultra colour, or era appropriate B&W.

Which did you choose?

This is on my list: although I'm not a huge comic book fan I make an exception for the Spider; chuck Cage into the mix and they surely can't have gone wrong.

I flip-flopped between the two as you can do so at any point with negligible interruption. I think I've settled on B&W.
