Possibly Sky by, er Sky, which I bought with a record token, or maybe Abba 'The Album'. My first LP was Abba 'Greatest Hits' which my mum bought me for passing my Grade 1 piano when I was about 6.

First album, Rick Wakeman - Journey to the Centre of the Earth! First single, Boston - More than a Feeling! Quite embarrassed about both!

xx( "That'll Be The Day", Buddy Holly & The Crickets
BTW John Ponting, Paul Anka has a recent CD out "Rock Swings".
Rock songs sung in the style of Sinatra. You may enjoy it?
Sings better now than when he recorded "Diana".

It was either Bizet's L'Arlesienne, (but I think my mum bought that for me) or a Bix Beiderbecke compilation.

I didn't have much in common with other kids my age.

I like Video Killed the Radio Star as well.

Anyway, it is with great shame that I admit the first 7" I bought with my own saved up money was Fuzzbox - Pink Sunshine.
