Calm down. Appreciate the small pleasures in life, and ignore the overburdensome political ones. The streets would be full of sparks on every day of the week with all the axe-grinders about. We all live in a world that we'll never really understand in our lifetimes, so make the most of any 'space' allowed away from the routine and enjoy it.
I'll be giving time to relatives and reading a good book. The Thames? Maybe. A ride? Maybe. Freedom? For sure!
Have fun.
The avenue behind me Is having a street party(which I will not be attending) and even hiring a bouncy castle which im told will be directly behind my house over the fence so im off to buy an air rifle
I've got Friday off this week so having a slightly extended weekend. Nothing special planned for Her Maj, a couple of days out with the little people and the Mrs and a bit of decorating turning the spare bedroom into a nursery for little AndyLaw2. If the weather holds I may get the BBQ out on Sunday / Monday and invite the folks round.
I'll be busy checking that totallyfixed and dr_pink don't have any surprise Jubilee events lined up on their Rutland forum ride! I want to see ospreys, red kites, huge expanses of water, rolling hills, quiet lanes bordered by fields vivid with oil seed rape and of course, friendly CycleChatters, NOT union jack tablecloths and lots of little flags on sticks ...
I shall put on a union jack thong and wander, otherwise naked, round the town centre trying to kiss strangers and shouting "how's that for a sceptre, madam?"*
