Yeah but they think they're valve amps.
On a more serious note I had a chance to buy a 22 and a pair of QUAD 11s in about 89, a guy called Tom wanted £400 for the lot and I couldn't raise it
Plus at least they aren't current dumpers and now they run 2 channel mono each so no stereo crosstalk in the power amps (bi-amp wired Bowers & Wilkins speakers)

...this is gonna be a good one! Right...what sort of, er...output were you looking for then, eh Output?

Yeah, output, output - what sort did you want?

What sort have you got?

: Ah-ah-ah-ah! No, no, no, no, no...no clues, no clues...you've got to do this on your own or not at all.

Erm...oh dear. Well, um, I-I-I want, um...

Yeah?

Um...a medium one....
And if you think that is originally from a television programme kindly leave the thread.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
We still have a mile delivery every day - though it is getting very expensive now compared to shop milk.
79p a pint compared to 49p in the shops.
Its called loss leader so you go to the shop and spend another £50 + on other stuff , i always got asked why milk was " expensive " when i was a milkie and you have to remember the dozens of other bits and bobs we sold and the personal service including keeping an eye on more infirm customers who came to rely on you .

I want to go back to how it was. Writing a letter to friends who live far away, the occasional phone call, setting a date to meet up for lunch/dinner and a chat. I enjoy my own company and silence, I dont need to talk to people everyday.

Agreed. If you want to a chat bring some biscuits i'll pop the kettle on. It's almost like you're rude if you didn't see someone's text and reply immediately or their social page update. I really avoid texting now. know it's the done thing but they can be misread or misunderstood. It's silly when a simple short phone call makes everything easier.

I can see the cows from my house and they do a full range of Organic products where i live. It doesnt taste the same from a plastic bottle and i always know it's on the doorstep. Here here to the milkys!

Respond by saying that not only are you not there, you don't even have a phone!

 - I tend to just ignore them now. But I will do that next time.
Waking up today to 3 missed calls, 1 answer-phone message, 4 texts, all that in the first 10 mins of getting up :cursing: - what annoys me the most is they wanna call me to talk for ages and moan about their life/job etc or talk nothings which can wait, when they know I have no bathroom at all and I am working hard trying to install one from ground up. Maybe its me I dunno............ I need a bike ride:bicycle:

This is one of those threads blindly ignoring how much of a ballache some stuff used to be eh?
I might need a quick refresher before wiring a plug these days, but that's because I can't remember the last time I needed to. Quite happy with that personally.

Anyone still refer to years old encyclopaedia books or some copy of Encarta that were always pretty dreadful at being useful/correct?
