A bit presumptuous by Comedy Pilot, but the thread is dead.

We'll call the country The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, like it has been for a while now. However I suspect it will be very different in a few years time. England (If we can assume England has/is an entity, I know!) has woken up and doesn't like what it sees, rightly or wrongly, as unfavourable advantages to the Celts and disadvantages large areas of England.

Indeed! I can talk the most utter drivel, the most ridiculous pants, the most extreme rot, and my capacity for such tiresome crap is limitless.

You're perhaps a little unfair on yourself - I genuinely thought you had an argument that you were prepared to defend.

Tantalising glimpses of a discourse taking in such concepts as the lord of misrule, the holy fool, and offence and humour in general danced before my eyes.

The switch to variants of "it's the bants, innit" and "get a life" arguments rather wrong footed me, but was deftly done, I can only nod my head in acknowledgement of it, whilst musing sadly at my naivete in falling for it.

... although spending considerable time telling a self confessed fool that he is a fool would suggest that you may not have much left, so time is short!
