If you want to head out of Dieppe, to the South East, find the Avenue Vert.

Watch out for station-master's dogs who have given up chasing trains in exchange for cyclists, oh, and make sure you know your way from the port to the start of the route. It is well signposted, but only once you're on top of it (quite literally, as its a steep descent down to the start).

oh yes, and I have to admit I just follow my friends.... We never had any trouble with dogs - maybe they were too spooked by 9 recumbents...

Mind you, a vague memory of the route is turn left when you get to the town (turning right takes you over a big metal bridge), then right at the next lights, and then follow that road until you get to the turning - which is just a little way up a hill, and some way out of town....
