What would you get rid of to improve cycling?

Oh, I don't know, I used a cycle path route this evening that cut out two sets of traffic lights. A little bumpier but actually quieter and quicker (on average - but you don't know in advance when you're going to get the green wave).

but apart from that one, and the Bristol to Bath cycle path, and.... but what did the Romans cycle-path builders ever do for us

Unless going north, virtually every route involves going through some part of this traffic jammed, traffic light infected, potholed sh1thole.
 
What about that friction between your rear wheel and the road? The friction that actually helps move your bike.

There aint much about it. Its one of those things that are important, but are given very little thought. Nothing to say really.

Anyway I would get rid of arsholes to improve cycling. Doing this would improve just about everything else too.
