I tried a few places on the net with the numbers but turned up nothing.

The following numbers are on the bike:

9124738 is on the seat tube
53578154 is on a sticker on the seat tube.

"Designed and Handbuilt in Nottingham England"

Thanks in advance

I did a search too and couldn't find any useful info relating to the format of the frame number either I'm afraid.

Looking at the bike I see certain features that I recognize from my own Pioneer Jaguar which dates from 1997, but others such as the V-brakes and the graphics suggest a later bike. My best guess would be that it's from around 1999 or 2000, just before they moved production abroad.

I got that from http://raleigh.co.uk/CustomerServices/ContactUs/
Probably the same place you found it?
No, I first found it during a previous search when I was curious to know which factory mine was made in. All I could find out was that it wasn't Nottingham.

There doesn't seem to be any info on the net about the later frame numbers as far as I can see.:headshake:

Edit: I should add that what I found out during my own search leads me to believe the one pictured above probably is Nottingham made. It has the right style of rear dropouts.
