I saw the Housemartins live, and can honestly say it was in my top handful of gigs I've ever been to. Pure unadulterated catchy

There's a band that needs reformin'
  9. Now it's another self-present "The Essence of Swing" - another compilation from HMV's shelves but it is a great double CD of 'standards' with Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Harry James, Jimmy Dorsey etc... all that talent for only three squids!

I loved the Housemartins. Have not listened to them for ages and ages and ages. I think I see a you tube moment coming soon.

Anyway I am watching and listening to Jools Holland on BBC2 at the moment. Not bad so far. It should be it's his choice of "best bits".
