Oops, I ended up making more food. I finished the roast; now I'm eating steak and chips. I'm not fat, I swear!

I might be seen as being a bit picky here but roast joints take about 3 hours minimum. So how will a roast joint solve your starving problem?
How do you do your roast? or is it a secret?
No secret, roast the meat, slice it up, and then put it in gravy, back in the oven whilst the roast potatoes are doing. Just add a few fresh veggies and job done. My roasts are renowned for being yummy!

The secret with a roast - and it took me 20 years to discover this - is letting it 'rest' after cooking. I know, I know, everyone knows that. But I didn't. And it makes such a difference. 10 mins or so for a chook, 15-25 for a lump, depending on size. Then gravy. Yum.
