The football team I help out with played in the 1/4 final of a cup today against a team in a league higher than us, we had a depleted squad and everyone gave 100% effort. And we won. F*ck effort without winning

Todays driving, to and from Coughton Court with a stop in Alcester, all done with a Zen like air of calm inside the car.

Getting up at 5am on a Saturday. This was because I was taking Drama Queen to cadets so she could go air experience flying for the first time.

She loved it! No aerobatics, apparently, as the cloud base was too low, but she took control and was shown how to land. All good stuff...

Despite being chased home by dark clouds and howling winds, the rain started 15 minutes after getting back.

Half way through my ride today the wind strength increased substantially and gave me a lot more assistance on the way back than hindrance on the way out.
