What's the best way to mount/dismount other than swinging leg over backwheel?

If you have a rear pannier and it's carrying something which sticks out on top, or maybe even a child seat, how do you mount/dismount the bike? Because obviously you can't swing your leg over the backwheel like you normally would.

I've tried tilting the bike and then lifting one of my leg over the top tube, but it seems so unnatural. Is there a better way?

Stand at left of bike facing forward and swing right leg over the handlebars?

That seems a lot more difficult than just swinging over the top bar, especially as the handle bars for a couple of inches higher.

You obviously do not practise your high kicking excersises.^_^

Can I guess that you are not over 6foot tall, as it seems to me this leg over bars option is practised more by taller people.

I can advise against tilting the bike lower when there is an occupant in the child seat. as it ends up with a crying child and a sweary dad, hoping child won't pick up the words ( sadly she did and is a potty mouth 14yr old , but i blame her friends for teaching her words )
