I won some vouchers the other week and used them to buy a pair of Boardman carbon fibre bottle cages at £25 each.
I almost certainly wouldn't have spent that much on bottle cages if I hadn't had the vouchers, but they do match the bike so what the heck.
I'm sure that the 19g weight saving (each) over the cages that were fitted previously will make all the difference...

So my question is what have you bought for the bike just because you could, rather than for any tangible benefit?

As a kid I bought one of those 3ways sirens it was totally unnecessary but at the time it was fun:okay:

A Magic Shine front light extremely reduced during the summer from Planet X, as flagged on our "found a bargain" thread - I need to stop reading it!
It has never been out of the box yet: for a start I have numerous lights for all my bikes plus spares, for a second I don't ride on unlit roads or go mountain biking in the dark ...

I'm another lights addict. I've spent the whole day recharging batteries and I'm nowhere near finished. There's a stack of light mounts on top of the fridge, enough for when a peloton stops by before doing a night ride.

Same here. Bought a lovely carbon road bike that was in the sale. Only went in for a browse...
I just bought a pair of amberwall 27 x 1 1/4 tyres, and the frame clearance is too narrow. Should have got 1 1/8, that will teach me to check properly.
Surely you can take them back?

You need to sort those bottles out! Green ones needed!
