There are no unnecessary purchases for the bike  ;)

I won some vouchers the other week and used them to buy a pair of Boardman carbon fibre bottle cages at £25 each.
I almost certainly wouldn't have spent that much on bottle cages if I hadn't had the vouchers, but they do match the bike so what the heck.
I'm sure that the 19g weight saving (each) over the cages that were fitted previously will make all the difference...

So my question is what have you bought for the bike just because you could, rather than for any tangible benefit?

A new frame.

I'm another lights addict. I've spent the whole day recharging batteries and I'm nowhere near finished. There's a stack of light mounts on top of the fridge, enough for when a peloton stops by before doing a night ride.

I've been doing the same. Just double checked my 2 battery packs are balanced (put the 18650's in a smart charger) as I'll 'hopefully' doing a few off road routes in the dark this week. Charging my Aldi light as I write this.

Little self adhesive decals with the English flag on and my name. I'm not quite old enough yet to forget my name or where I come from, but they have made the bike go faster. :okay:

See, my light addiction saw me wandering around Aldi today hoping they might still have a light I don't really need. Luckily they were already out of stock and I managed to curb the impulse buying of their £9.99 lights as a substitute. This left me so weak that I feel I got off lightly with a brushed cotton shirt, a bottle of Malbec, 2 cans of beer. Oh, and a pair of waterproof socks which turn out to be fluorescent lime green. Must go and check whether the Lezyne front blinder has recharged......

I've brought soo much stuff for the bike that is unnecessary!
To name one brand that I've had way to many products of is Garmin.
I won't list the ones I've had, but I still own 3 and the cateye did a good enough job really

Van Nicholas Titanium headset cap. Totally unnecessary as the standard fitment cap did the job perfectly, but...
