I always carry a spare frame for my bicycle. A lot of people pack a spare everything-else, but ignore the possibility of frame failure.
Usually this bulky item would add greatly to the weight and compromise the handling of the bicycle.
To counteract this negative impact, I remove all the cycleparts from the 'main' frame and attach them to my spare frame.
I then leave my 'main' frame in the garage with all my other spare parts.
I've been doing this for over a decade and have yet to have to carry out roadside repairs on a frame.
I recommend this.
I also recommend curry sauce on tutti frutti ice-cream.
