What's with the comic sans hatred?

I quite like it myself, very light, pretty, easy on the eye and so uncorporate. Everyone should use it. To lambast a font is just plain strange.

Yes it is now. I find that in school it is easier for pupils to read than some other fonts. Especially those with reading difficulties. It is closer to a Primary teachers black chalkboard style.

Eeeeeeew! Anything sent to me in Comic Sans goes straight in the circular file...

It has its place. And that's flyers for children's parties.

For almost anything else it's awful.
I'm sure I heard about a sign for "[font="'Comic Sans MS"]victims of violence support network[/font]" being done in it or something which is pretty bad.

I'm not even convinced about that. I find it a patronising font - if it could speak it would sound like that Radio 4 kids' programme Go For It.

I don't get how you can find a font patronising, any more than you could find someone's handwriting offensive.
