What's with the fuel prices! And cheap whisky, apparently ...

I've noticed fuel has come down a lot. It was £1.41 for diesel at my local for ages, then went up to £1.43, now since last week it's £1.36. that's nearly 3 quid on a full tank!

haha I do, even though we rarely put in a full tank. Probably a half tank every few weeks, but because I;m tight I always keep an eye on the prices out of interest. Sometimes a news headline (e.g. russia/ukraine) seems to trigger a price increase but of course that's just my theory. It's probably based more on the stock market or something more technical

Unleaded has gone down to £129.99 here - lower at Tesco and ASDA by a penny

went to see the grandkids yesterday and the main road into Liverpool - which was about 135.99

weird how it works - for many many years we were always cheaper than that road
recently they all became the same

now we are cheaper again

I don't really put much fuel in my car/van, but since getting the van we've done a few trips, more planned next week, but I've not put any in for a few weeks and still have half a tank. I've noticed it a bit recently as I've had to drive to work, although I'm back WFH due to my pelvis. I doubt I'll be back bike commuting for a while yet.

Couple weeks ago E10 was 1.32. It went up a penny a litre several times till it was 1.36...then reversed the trend and dropped to 1.32 the other day
