As long as I breathe, I attack.
Local Texaco, normally cheapest locally
144.9 e10
166.9 diesel

Morrisons 135.9 e10, not sure about diesel

Service station near work was 165.9 this morning for petrol!!
The 137.9 was Morrisons, for some reason we seem to be a expensive part of the country by a penny or two even when there isn't a war on . Were literally in the middle of the country less than 10 mikes from multiple motorways so I don't see why

That means you are further from the refineries, which are mainly on the coast.

Filled up yesterday

144 at first station but that was by the grand kids house I saw - ASDA was 139.99

so went home and Esso was 144.99
so tried Tesco and that was 137.99

ASDA was abou 1/2 penny cheaper but I had filled up by then
not sure how much teh Tesco clubcard points are worth but at least I got the

don;t normally bother - and I normally get Esso as I think it is better - possibly due to marketing

but at that price difference they can *** off

Seeing as most of the refineries pipe their produce to regional hubs (if you know what youre looking for you can spot the markers denoting the underground pipes below) via principally UKOP (2 grades each of unadulterated diesel, petrol and - i think - kerosene) id say that old excuse is a crock. The only tankers going out of refineries are the ones serving the region in which the refinery is located.
