It's clear from this sign that eBay sellers generate this post office a fair bit of work ( perhaps helping keep them open ) ....why then alienate customers who are keeping you open with a sarcastic last line ?

Also if you had made such a typo on a snotty notice - wouldn't you redo it as opposed to highlighting it ?

Yes I can, Yes I am, Yes I did...Repeat.
The people I have met who work in the collection depots (little red card places) have been rude, unhelpful, and give the impression that they are being inconvenianced by having a job to go to.

Can't read it Gaz, too small for my eyes, but there a couple of PO's I avoid as they've made it clear with their attitude they don't like taking eBay parcels, and if you have pre-paid them via PayPal the OMG you might have well have asked to sleep with his Wife!
It makes no odds to me as the closet PO to my work are superb and never moan, winge or question you, they simply get on with the job they are paid to do, and they do it very well.

I'll jump onto my pc and repost the image from that

Basically it says 5 parcels at a time " after all we are a post office, not an eBay office "

I doubt that the sign will have lost the office trade.

I for one CBA to take parcels to the next nearest post office because of an illiterate and poorly thought out note.

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Both my local P.O.'s are perfectly happy with lots of eBay parcels. However, they are both a single person running it.

The Dewsbury one, with lots of staff, complain if you've more than 2.

I'd undermine them by delivering five parcels at a time with a five minute break between each batch.

I wouldnt worry about it because if Royal Mail put up the price of postage by how much they want to next year they wont have any customers anyway.

Sadly they are all doing it

Mate had a quote to ship a bike via dhl for £800

From mainland uk to mainland uk

Wtf ???

I don't use EBay as I don't like how the system works and it has so many dodgy people selling stuff on it imo. Though I sell vinyl records through a dedicated music web site and discovered that your local PO don't make any money if you have pre-paid parcels, so I can understand some small PO frustrations who are trying to run a buisiness

If you want to support your local PO pay for your parcels at the PO. Not on line

Perhaps the P.O. has been getting heat from other customers. It can be quite annoying if you pop in for a couple of stamps and someone in front of you has a dozen parcels to be weighed etc.

I wonder if the local P.O. gets no credit from HQ for handling ebay parcels?
It would be unfair if that is the case, but that's no reason for being grumpy with the customer.

Edit.... It looks as if YahudaMoon has answered my question before I'd finished typing it out.
