Ive found Phil Corleys, Milton Keynes (on the list) to be quite high-end with prices to match and on 2-3 times id been in as a clueless newbie, staff seemed utterly disinterested and unhelpful. Ive heard the same from local friends into cycling, but i get the impression if you walk in there with a full carbon roadie theyll be your best friend. On the other hand when I was fixing up my Raleigh MTB the young staff at Halfords (Bletchley/South MK) were amazingly helpful and informative - crazy!
