Wheel Steal

I managed to win some very tidy 700c wheels of a Specialized Tricross on fleabay

I took a gamble that
A) they would take a 9 speed cassette (had an 8 speed)
B) they weren't too wide at the hub and especially the rim

On close inspection they are only a tad wider than all my other 700c road wheels.

For winter cycling they will be perfect.
Also the metal hubs will suit my Steel bike nicely.
No one else bid so I got them for £10!!!!

They are spotless, true and the bearing and freehub are perfect.

I had to take a 30 min drive to get them though.

Mega chuffed.

I think you've overpaid. I managed to destroy the wheels that came with my Tricross pretty quickly.

OK, so they are heavy shoot wheels. But they are round and will do me for a few miles.

The hubs 'metal' look means they are very stylish and match the metal rims and spokes as well as the OP's (presumably nude/oxidised look) "Steel bike".
