More wheels than sense
I enjoyed the JCB episode, as well as the Mustang

Prefer 'Diesel Brothers' & 'Kindig Customs', but I'd like see 'Sin City Motors' (aka 'Welderup') return

If you want car restorations youtube is the place to look. Everything from a quick buff and flip to this labour of lunacy.

This is going to run and run

What's the one with that annoying prat from salvage hunters? He's so far up his own arris he's almost inside out.

He got himself banned from every pub in Conwy where he lives. He was having an affair with another chaps wife, and when the poor bloke found out he went to the pub and chinned Pritchard. When the local publicans discovered what had prompted this slapping they all banned Pritchard form their pubs instead of the guy that poked him

Clearly the locals love him as much as I do.

Yup - Drew Pritchard - clearly a prat of the first water

however he does seem to know his stuff - but outside antiques I would not really want to have a pint with him

the car version is, I think, Salvage Hunters - Classic Cars
he comes over as even more of a prat on that - frequent comments about how he has decided this and he is right and the car expert is wrong

still - probably a rich prat

Wheeler dealers must make a hefty loss on everything they restore, if you take into account wages for the mechanics let alone for Ed, and they never tell you how much it costs to drive to drive to the other end of the country, pay overnight hotel bills and return the vehicles, sometimes on a breakdown truck.

The money is made from the TV shows.

Cannot stand him, going off bangers for cash knowing what's gone on there!

So, here's a thought, perhaps we could re-invent wheeler dealers with Cycle Chat TV Productions new series, Chainwheeler Dealers, we could have old bikes bought, restored in a workshop, taken for a suitable ride out, then sold, Perhaps as Accy is the most well dressed man here, he could go pick them up, ably assisted by his faithful canine assistant, slide the roof back on his Fiat and drop the bike in through the roof, then we need a workshop/mechanics, we could even have Chainwheeler Dealers Europe, filmed on location in Germany at Andy in Germany's gaff, this could have legs!

Don't forget a test ride by ColinJ!!

I could be one of the many specialist artisans Accy takes parts to for repair or restoration, and when Accy asks to have a go like Mike does I could refuse on 'elf and safety grounds, or he could get his tie caught in the lathe.

I'm from fairly near Conwy originally. I never thought I had an accent until I saw DP on Salvage Hunters. Yup, I have a Conwy accent. It's not in the least bit Welsh, just a kind of thuggish north-west English one.

And no, I wouldn't like to be stuck in a lift with him. Paul Cowland would be more fun.

It's possible I suppose ( sold back to the original owner)
My son in law had a 320 bhp WRX STI Prodrive Imprezza, beast of a car, been off the road for several years, he was always going to work on it and get it back up and running, then reality hits, he sold it , guy who brought it sends him photos . He's just got some more off the fella and is mildly annoyed with himself for letting it go...and my daughter suggested he buy it back. It was just musing but SlL stated...it would cost him a lot more to buy it back now.

I had a 1997 Impreza turbo 2000. Bought it new, kept it 15 years. In standard form, was the best ICE I have had. Very fast, sure footed, practical family car.

The Pro-drive were the mutts. P1 and the 22B, also with special rally commissions like the Richard Burns, Colin Mcrae limited productions

The best impreza-related story I heard was this:

Bloke wants Impreza but doesn't have much money. Sees one on the other side of the country that's very cheap. His girlfriend says he's being stupid, but he takes her on the train to see the car and ends up buying it.

On the way back, the cheapest Impreza in England predictably breaks down. Bloke parks in a lay-by and calls the AA. They say sorry, they're very busy and it will be hours.

Dusk falls. This lay-by happens to be the local dogging spot. Other cars park there. Strangers are peering through the windows of the stricken Impreza, wondering why there is no "action".

When they (eventually) get home, his girlfriend dumps him.
