I use my MTB purely on the road for commuting to work and riding at the weekends.

I have junked the suspension forks and am now looking out for a better set of wheels than the ones that came with the bike (weinmann xp24's).
Currently I have my eye on,

http://www.wiggle.co.uk/sram-506-race-mtb-front-wheel/ and rear wheel obviously.
I am leaning towards the Crossrides as they are significantly lighter and have sealed cartridge bearings... My quandary if you will is this, I weight just under 13 stone and am 6' 2", will the Mavics be ok or am I likely to break them?
Mavics weight in @ 1700g
Sram 506's come in @ 2161g.
Oh and they need to be V-brake!
