These are the wheels that came with the Bianchi bike I have bought. Just want to make sure - 48mm valve inner tubes will be ok with these wheels? The wheels look a bit fancy, so wanted to make sure I don't need to buy longer valves!

Thanks

J

As long as there's enough valve showing to be able to inflate.

Nobody'll know how long they are when you're flying by on your new bike!

Hi there. What I meant was: are 48mm valve inner tubes ok for the wheels that are on the bike or should I go for a longer valve?!

As Tim says, but I don't think they look particularly deep section wheels so I'm sure 48mm will be fine. No harm in buying longer if you're not sure though.

Those look like 60mm valves so 12mm less isn't going to be a problem. If you lose the lockrings as is fashionable you might have a little trouble getting the pump head onto a 48mm valve as it might disappear up into the hole.
